How to Create a Successful Morning Breakfast Routine
Make It Routine
School has started (well nearly in some cases) and you need an easy way to beat the morning rush hour? Here are three ways to help fit a breakfast bonanza into your family’s morning routine.
- Get organized the night before. Make a breakfast plan as you clean up from dinner. Set the table with bowls and spoons for cereal. Enroll your kids to set the table each evening ready for the next day. If you plan on making pancakes, have the ingredients and pan at the ready! Same for smoothies – keep it simple and have everything to hand.
- Keep breakfast simple. Don’t overcomplicate things in the morning. As long as everyone leaves the house on a full stomach – cereal, toast or waffles!
- Pack your breakfast to go. If there’s no time to eat at home, plan on taking it with you rather than skipping the meal. Fruit like apples and bananas are easy to eat on the go.
Remember some schools offer breakfast to kids, check out what is on offer – this may well buy you some extra time in the morning.
