Creating a healthy home environment


Here are some great ways parents can make a real difference in their child’s lives and help build healthy habits for life.  Parents and caregivers can set a great example for the whole family by creating a healthy environment at home. Small steps such as making fruits and vegetables part of every meal, limiting treats, walking, playing, even shopping together can make a difference. Our top 5 tips are as follows:

  1. Have easy to hand fruit and vegetables that can be used as snacks.
  2. Take an evening stroll.
  3. Turn off the TV.
