Setting limits with kids means setting a guideline for behavior. This is especially true when your family does not have official rules – it would be impossible to set rules about everything. However , some rules may need to be made depending on the situation. If your child suddenly starts banging their silverware at the table, may need to be a rule that is instantly put into place “Stop banging silverware”
Often parents want to avoid a temper tantrum and therefore struggle to set limits. However limits are good, and needed for kids. Setting limits is an important part of parenting, it teaches the following:
