National Children’s Dental Health Month (February)
The American Dental Association sponsors National Children’s Dental Health Month in February to raise awareness about the importance of oral health. Oral health is very important, particularly for young children. During the early years, teeth are being to grow and if left unclean long term damage can be done.
We want to help you establish good habits with your child at an early age and realize the importance of scheduling regular dental visits. The chart that we created will help your children to get a good start on a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums.
We created our Add a Brilliant Smile Reward Chart to help children stay on the right tract when it comes to dental hygiene. The reward chart system teaches your child how his teeth develop, why they fall out and how to properly care for them. The chart is an easy way to motivate your child to brush regularly. After brushing your child can draw his own smiley face on the chart as a visual reminder. Your child will take pride in his accomplishments and he can even show it off to the dentist!
We have also created a fun Word Search for your child which you can download here.
The ADA also have a fun coloring sheet which you can print here.
